Traditions Ambassador

Traditions International Educational System

The Traditions Ambassador program started several years ago in Japan.  There was a need to train additional teachers in the program but the difficulty and expenses in bringing an HA to Japan made education very difficult.  DecoArt and Traditions joined together to create a position to help the education of teachers about products and techniques.  These Ambassadors travel their country educating teachers but do not participate in the formation of the education program.  These Ambassadors are essential for the educational growth of our artistic community.

Yumiko started painting many years ago.  In 1987 she opened one of the first painting stores in Japan called Raggedy Ann.  She began traveling to the United States to attend seminars in 1993.  In 1994 she founded the Hiroshima Happy Decorative Painters a chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters.  This chapter became one of the largest in Japan.  In 2002 she switched her shop over to Traditions.  She travels extensively throughout Japan teaching and educating with the Traditions products.  She spends 2 to 3 weeks each year at the Jansen Art Studio in Pennsylvania learning new techniques and products for education in Japan.  Yumiko produces DVD's, packets and books for the education in Japan.
