Josette's discovery of Decorative Painting in 1982 began her quest for artistic education. While studying with MDA, David Jansen for over five years, Josette placed the focus of her education on the color theory and the study of historical styles of artistic interpretation. She received her D.E.P., Diploma of Professional Studies after completing an extensive, nine hundred hours course on "Finishing Furniture" and is now studying visual arts at the University of Quebec (UQAM). She received her Visual Arts from the University of Quebec.  In September 2005 she will start her Bachelor Degree in Art History at the University of Quebec.

Josette also designs and teaches at her Decorative Art Shop in Montreal and throughout the province of Quebec, Canada.  Her career goal is to return Decorative  Art to its rightful place alongside Fine Art.  In August 2004 she became a Heritage Artist, one of the 8 co-authors of the Traditions Educational Teaching Program.
